Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, Councilmember Tom Rasmussen, Seattle Department of Transportation and Seattle Police Department will launch Vision Zero, the city’s plan to end traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030.

Additional speakers and attendees will include family and friends of traffic victims.

The new Vision Zero plan details near-term actions the City will take to improve street safety for everyone, whether biking, walking or driving. Vision Zero emphasizes smarter street design that takes human error into account, as well as targeted education and enforcement.
