Saw this making the rounds and had to share it with you all:

Boeing workers have long relied on bicycles to move around their enormous facilities, and they started switching to cargo trikes back in 2015.

  1. @tfooq When we were shopping for a trike for my mom, SO MUCH of that market is trikes made for institutional and industrial contexts. It was hard to find things that would actually work for her use because many weren’t really meant for road use exactly but getting around some kind of mostly closed “campus”.

  2. This reminds me of a story I heard during a boat tour along the Chicago River: Montgomery Ward had couriers wear roller skates to transport letters and packages throughout its massive riverside warehouse building which was 2.5 football fields (731 feet or 223 m) long!
