Check out Seattle Public Library’s new book bike

Our city’s library is cooler than yours.

And the Seattle Public Library isn’t stopping there. They are also hosting a series of bicycle safety and maintenance classes called Sound Cycling (remaining dates below):

The Seattle Public Library will host the Sound Cycling series this spring at several Library locations. Learn how to use a bike as a healthy and economical means of transportation, perform basic bike maintenance and more. Record the number of miles biked to work or school during the month of May for a chance to win prizes at the series finale.

The series is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available at the branches.

See below for the series schedule and descriptions.

Getting There By Bike – Morgan Sherer of FamilyBike Seattle will talk about using bikes to get where you need to go in the city, both as an individual and as a family.

Bicycle Maintenance – Get an overview of basic bicycle parts and learn about basic bicycle maintenance from Morgan Sherer of FamilyBike Seattle.

Mileage Celebration – Win prizes for reporting the miles you biked to work or school during the month of May.

For more information, call the Library at 206-386-4636 or Ask a Librarian.
