Valentine’s Day – Love your bike with Beacon BIKES

Don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day? Refuse to participate in a Hallmark-fabricated holiday based around unsustainably-grown flowers and poorly-written greeting cards? Well, Beacon BIKES is holding a VD event featuring Willie Weir.

From Beacon BIKES:

KUOW bicycle correspondent, Adventure Cyclist columnist and local resident Willie Weir will bring an enormous bicycle valentine to the Beacon Hill library. Willie will spin the tale of bicycle love—from his first cross-country bike trip three decades ago to six years and counting without a car. Then it’s off to destination inspiration, from Portland, Oregon to Bogota, Colombia and Seville, Spain. He has cycled over 60,000 miles throughout the globe, but he always comes home to Beacon Hill.

There are great opportunities before us to improve walking and bicycling connections on Beacon Hill. We would LOVE to share our ideas and hear your heart’s desire for making our neighborhood a better place live, work and play. Come be a part of it!

All ages are welcome and everyone’s invited. Please visit our website at www.beaconwalksbikes.org for other upcoming meetings and events.
