Spoke & Food: Where to bike to dinner tonight

61642_10151541649609856_563124709_nIt’s time for the annual Spoke & Food bike to dinner fundraiser! Cancel your dinner plans and bike to a nearby (or far away) restaurant tonight.

Bike and dine at participating restaurants between 5:30 and 9 tonight (Tuesday) and 20 percent of your dinner bill will be donated to Bike Works.

Try a bike-supporting restaurant AND support Bike Works at the same time? What better reason could you possibly have to dine out?

Not convinced yet? Well some of the restaurants will have donated kegs of craft beer, and 100 percent of the sales from those kegs will go directly to Bike Works. See a list of restaurants with partner breweries here.

This is the fourth annual Spoke & Food event, and the largest yet. Here’s the event poster with a list of participating restaurants:

Man. Vios service is normally pretty good; one of the reasons I go there is because it’s kid-friendly and the food doesn’t take too long. Tonight, though, it was *terrible*. I figured we’d be past the rush by arriving at 8:30, but the food took forever and the waitress ignored us. By the time it finally came out, our kid was having a meltdown, and the food was cold. Getting the check required asking up front multiple times. The whole thing took so long that by the time we were done, we’d missed our chance to go to Peak’s.

Hopefully this was a one-time event!
