It’s an ice rink out there

I spent the morning ice skating all around Wallingford and pushing cars that got stuck on the ice. I put a shoulder into a jackknifed pickup truck and body checked it halfway across the street and into perfect parallel parking position next to the curb. I felt pretty bad ass. But seriously, it’s an ice rink out there.

A friendly neighbor took this video:

You should feel pretty bad ass. That’s great. I wish I had some skates. I have cross country skis and cruise the streets when there is enough snow, but yesterday I was out of my league. Now we are back to rain, but with the occasional icy patch. Be careful out there.

Not to take away from the coolness of this video, but there is no way that this is Wallingford, or if it is, it wasn’t shot currently. I live in Wallingford and currently, while it is certainly cold enough, the streets are bone dry.
