Happy Park(ing) Day!

We only have a certain amount of public space, and yet we use so much of it to park our cars. For just one day, people all over the world take back urban space one parking spot at a time, turning them into tiny urban parks.

In Seattle, the day is organized by Feet First.

Here’s a map. Get out there and check out your city’s newest parks:

Why there is there no Park(ing) Day alleycat? This is practically already a manifest. Just add the line, “Take a silly photo at each park,” and you’ve got yourself a good time…
