Details from Cascade Bicycle Club (RSVP):
The One Center City (OCC) plan is a centerstone for how transportation to, from and within the downtown and surrounding neighborhoods will take shape — both in the long-term, and even the next couple years.
People who bike (and those that would like to try!) have waited for a long time for safe and protected ways to get around downtown. Come share a beer and talk directly with SDOT Director Scott Kubly and staff working on the One Center City plan about the Basic Bike Network and how it fits in.
Who: People that bike downtown, SDOT Director Scott Kubly, One Center City staff, Cascade staff and Seattle Neighborhood Greenways volunteers
What: Happy hour to learn about OCC and how the Basic Bike Network fits in; plus provide input on OCC strategies
When: Wednesday, March 1, from 5 – 7 p.m.
Why: Your input and voice are integral to shaping how the Basic Bike Network can come to life.
BONUS: Bring a friend that is interested in biking downtown, but does not yet feel safe. We need those voices at the table!
*We are aware the Seattle Bike Advisory Board meets at 6 p.m. that evening. Please come by beforehand!
(Note: Cash bar, appetizers provided)
