Earth Day is April 22nd, and the city of Seattle’s Annual Spring Clean Event is our Greenwood-Phinney and Licton-Haller Group’s vehicle to do a little ‘archaeological dig.’ There are areas of old sidewalks which are partially covered with gravel. We plan to uncover them! And also bring attention to the unsafe conditions for pedestrians on Greenwood N. between N 112th and N 145th. There are cars and hedges blocking the right of way, which we will document.
We are planning to ‘Uncover the Greenwood N Sidewalks & Restore the Right of Way’ (and pick up trash) in the 2 block area, between N 120th and N 122nd on Greenwood Ave N.

Please join us for some work and fun: 10 AM – 1 PM, Sunday, April 22nd, on the SW corner of N 120th at Greenwood Ave N.
Please RSVP to [email protected]
The city supplies us with visibility vests, grabber sticks to pick up garbage, and garbage bags. If you have a shovel, cones, and anything else you think might be useful, please bring them and your water bottle. We’ll have some snacks. As this is a busy arterial, safety is an issue.
Please RSVP to [email protected], so we’ll be able to plan better. If LOTS of folks turn out, we’ll expand the work area!
