Ride Description:
Please join me for this classic clockwise loop around Lake Washington, which has rolling hills, a few good climbs and beautiful views. We’ll start at the Old Renton City Hall and head north to the west side of the lake. Then we’ll continue past the UW and Magnuson Park and have good climbs going to and at the east side of the lake. Then the ride concludes with some rolling hills and it’s back to Renton. We’ll have a coffee/food stop at Startbucks located in Kirkland (mile 34 of the ride)…however, please bring enjough food to be energized for this ride.

Riders should bring a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. Please arrive at the start 20 minutes prior to the starting time for the safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 9:00 am. Restrooms are located approx. ¼ mile northeast of the start (turn left onto Houser Way from the south end of the parking lot…use the sidewalk to go to the restrooms due to heavy car volume).

The ride leader will not be at the ride start should inclement weather and/or unsafe road conditions meet the definition for cancellation (steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start. If you have questions about the weather, please call 818-590-8167, preferably before you leave for the ride.
