Vancouver team wins 2011 World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships

The Crazy Canucks from East Vancouver took the top spot at the 2011 World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships, closing out a busy week of polo at Magnuson Park. The Canucks beat out Call Me Daddy from France in sudden death. Seattle’s Guardians took third place, keeping the tournament’s hometown on the podium. In all, I…

Cycle Tracks and Seattle, Part 2: Look, the Canucks can do it, too!

This video demonstrating the two-way cycle track on Dunsmuir in Vancouver has come up often lately. In many ways, it is similar to the cycle track proposed for Broadway (and perhaps Yesler) to coincide with the installation of the First Hill Streetcar.
