If your kiddo/family is interested in participating in the Wallingford Kiddie Parade, I’m heading up a contingent of family bikers to ride in it!

We’ll meet at Meridian Park between 10 and 10:30. The parade begins at 11 am (though we aren’t first, so we’ll probably be at the park a little bit longer). We’re bringing crepe paper for decorating bikes and pipe cleaners for making antenna on helmets. Please wear green if you can.

Full disclosure: Our entry in the parade is sponsored by Wallingford resident Cathy Tuttle, who’s running for City Council and who has worked for years on street safety (eg Safe Routes to Schools and Greenways). She will be there walking with us and some people will be carrying signs, but you don’t have to vote for her to ride in the parade (or even live in her district). The entry is really meant as a celebration of family biking.

No RSVP required – you can find us at the park. Look for Cathy Tuttle signs and coordinator Kimberly in a ladybug bike helmet.
