Each year, Bike Works collects over 4000 bicycles that we refurbish or recycle. But, there has yet to be an opportunity to donate on campus at UW…
So we are coming to the ASUW Bike Shop to collect any old or new bikes and bike parts. Whatever is collecting dust in your garage or not being used to its full potential we will give back to the community for an amazing cause.
Come by to our table outside of the Bike Shop anytime between 12pm – 5pm and be a part of making biking accessible and affordable to people from all walks of life. Plus you’ll be promoting sustainable transportation and environmental stewardship. (We will also give you a tax receipt).
Donated bikes may be used as teaching tools in our youth and adult programs and then donated through a partner organization to someone in need of a bike. Bikes may be made available for the youth in our Earn-A-Bike program to earn. Bike Works will accept almost everything bicycle-related.
