Details:
The new U District Link Light Rail Station is scheduled to open in 2021. This is an exciting investment in our neighborhood that will significantly change the way many people get around. You are invited to join a community-led planning process to rethink how we (pedestrians, bicycles, transit, cars and freight, etc.) get to and through the neighborhood.

The U District Mobility Group, a community-led effort of neighbors, stakeholders, public agencies and nonprofit organizations, is coordinating opportunities to collect community members’ ideas on barriers, opportunities, and potential solutions. The goal is a community-driven, holistic, multimodal U District station area mobility plan.

To facilitate the project, the Mobility Group is collaborating with a consultant team to provide the technical support needed to develop the plan. We invite you to get involved and share what is happening so the plan can represent the diverse and unique voices of the U District.

Other ways to get involved:
• Take the Survey to tell us how you get around the U District and your desired improvements: http://udistrictmobility.org/survey

If you know anyone else who might be interested in U District station area mobility, please spread the word about the community meetings and the survey. The more we can bring everyone who cares about the U District to the conversation, the more we can make sure we get a vision that works well for everyone’s needs.
