just off Rainier Ave. S. & S. Forest St.
by the Mt. Baker Light Rail Station.
Saturday, November 5th at 9am Seattle Street Fixers will join the Mt. Baker Hub Alliance (https://www.mtbakerhub.org/) for their first Saturday cleanup (https://www.mtbakerhub.org/clean-ups/).
There’s a number of issues we can help with. Near the pedestrian bridge (https://goo.gl/maps/RzoW6hgHKNwPDJFE9) there’s sidewalks and paved plaza areas with dirt and leaves starting to take over.
A bit north (https://goo.gl/maps/XeymgvxFKzkLHUbq7) next to the QFC the sidewalk is narrowed by bushes and covered with leaves. By next weekend as the trees lose the rest of their leaves it’ll be really important to get the sidewalk cleared before rain and foot traffic turns them into a mush.
If you’d like to help Seattle Street Fixers, please check in with the Mt Baker folks at Rainier Ave S and S Forest St, but then join other street fixers tackling the pedestrian overpass fix.
Bring your own gloves and garden tools if you have them, and a few extras in case others don’t.
I hope I’ll see you out here next Saturday.

Regular neighborhood cleanup info from Mt Baker Hub Alliance:
Seattle friends and neighbors!! Please join us for our ongoing ‘First Saturday’ of the month clean-up effort,
Saturday, 9:00am-12:00pm.
We meet on the NW corner of the Art Space building, just off Rainier Ave. S. & S. Forest St., by the Mt. Baker Light Rail Station.
Look for the Mt. Baker Hub Alliance sign, a table with sign-up list, gloves, pickers, orange vests and bright yellow bags to collect garbage, maybe a colorful umbrella, weather dependent, all next to the water ox mural at Hoa Mai Preschool.
Come spend time in the Hub, admire the murals, old and new, and help beautify our wonderful neighborhood on Saturday morning.
See you there!!
