Hi Street Fixers,

It’s been a minute since we had an event! I wanted to try something new by having a dinnertime fix while we still have evening light.

Tuesday, August 8th at 6:15pm we’ll be clearing overgrowth from the sidewalk near bus stop 2980 at 25th Ave and E Union St. I’ve attached pictures of the vegetation and a wide shot of the area. There are worse overgrowth issues around town, however, this one has (in my estimation) a decently high volume of pedestrian traffic and can be completed relatively quickly.

The goals for the project are:

– Trim or mow the planting strip

– Trim the plants on the fence line

– Edge or shovel out small parts of the sidewalk that are covered

Please let me know if you plan on attending so I can have a sense of how many volunteers/sets of tools we’ll have in a week’s time.
