Seattle City Council Meeting in which the full council will be voting on the Arena Redevelopment ordinances and companion transportation-related resolution.
We showed up to the Committee on Civic Arenas meetings and made our voices heard, telling City Council that transportation options are important and that the community supports building safe, comfortable, and intuitive routes for people walking and biking to and from the Arena.
In direct response to our asks, City Council drafted a companion resolution asking SDOT to complete the missing Basic Bike Network connections surrounding the Arena by opening day in 2020, and requesting ongoing reporting and re-assessing of the Arena’s transportation goals.
Show up now to tell the City Council how you would get to the Arena, and ask the full council to pass this transportation resolution.
Please contact [email protected] if you’d like to make a public comment at the meeting. Public comment period will be at the beginning of the meeting, followed by a council discussion of the Arena ordinances.
