The Seattle Board of Park Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the Multi-Use Trail Pilot Project during its board meeting scheduled for April 26, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dexter Administration Building located at 100 Dexter Ave. N., Seattle, WA. Community members are encouraged to attend this meeting and give public testimony on the pilot project.
Those who want to give input but are unable to come to the meeting can provide written comments, which bear equal weight to verbal comments. Please email comments to [email protected]

The pilot project will set a 15-mph speed limit for all users, allow Class 1 and Class 2 electric-assist bicycles, and include an education and outreach campaign on trail etiquette with the Seattle Department of Transportation. The pilot project will take place starting Memorial Day on the following multi-use trails:
Burke-Gilman Trail
Elliott Bay Trail
Mountains to Sound Trail
Melrose Connector Trail
Duwamish Trail
During the one-year pilot, SPR staff will collect data and feedback, conduct focus groups, and educate the public on the pilot.
