The Lake City Way Corridor Improvement Project is in the early design phase. In order to inform design, we’re using feedback gathered from the Lake City Way Traffic Safety Project Task Force in addition to collision and speed data we’ve collected. The Lake City Way Traffic Safety Project Task Force was a collaborative effort to review street conditions and identify potential ways to make Lake City Way a safer corridor for all modes of travel. You can view their findings in the Lake City Way Traffic Safety Corridor Action Plan located in the materials section at the bottom of this page.

In addition to design, we’re working with neighborhood groups and community members in the project area to answer questions and provide information about schedule and design.

This month, we’re hosting two informal public drop-in sessions to provide an opportunity for Seattle residents to ask questions, engage with our project team, and learn more about our proposed improvements. Interpreters will be present to assist non-English speaking individuals with these languages: Amharic, Tigrinya, Oromo, Somali, Chinese (Traditional), Spanish, and Russian. Light refreshments will be provided.

Drop-in Session 1:
The first drop-in session is Monday, September 17 from 6-8 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church (8208 18th Ave NE).

Drop-in Session 2:
The second drop-in session is Tuesday, September 25 from 6-8 PM at the Lake City Community Center (12531 28th Ave NE).
