The Ridge Route (from Judkins Park to Volunteer Park) is the first greenway route our group identified back in 2011/2012, so it’s exciting that it’s in the City’s workplan. When we charted the general route, there were always some segments we debated, and it’s been a long time since we went out as a group to discuss it. Meanwhile, many people have joined Central Seattle Greenways in the years since those initial rides. So this is a great time for us to go out and scope out the route options, providing the City with our recommendations and the pros and cons of different choices.
All are welcome! You don’t need to be a member of Central Seattle Greenways; you just need to care about safe biking in our neighborhood.
Please ride with us Saturday, February 11, at 2:30 p.m. We’ll meet outside the Northwest African American museum, at 2300 S Massachusetts, because it’s near the route’s intersection with the Central N/S Greenway.
