Ever rode your bike somewhere and didn’t have a place to park and lock-up? Or the rack design didn’t fit your style of bike? It’s a common problem in need of fixing.

Join the Cascade Bicycle Club and Seattle Neighborhood Greenways for “Rackathon” — an engaging, participatory event to evaluate the on-street bike parking racks and discuss improvements to city building codes, design review processes, and transit station design to increase bike parking.

In attendance will be the Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Planning Commission, Sound Transit, AIA Seattle, Commute Seattle, and several design firms. If you’re a urban design professional, government transportation staffer, real estate developer, building manager, public space advocate, or passionate bicyclist, you should attend.

Following the event, there will be a no-host social at The Lodge Sports Grille, 166 S King St, Seattle WA 98104
