With the change of Seattle City Council seats from being citywide to being district-based, this fall’s election will be critical for determining the future of biking in Seattle.

That’s why we want you to meet candidate Rob Johnson this Wednesday. As the current executive director of the Transportation Choices Coalition, Rob is a longtime leader for more greater walking, biking and transit choices. Cascade is proud to endorse Rob Johnson for Seattle City Council District 4.

As a fifth generation Seattle resident, father, urban planner and transportation advocate, Rob will champion safer streets and a more affordable city with greater transit, biking and walking choices.

Over the last decade with the organization Transportation Choices Coalition, Rob has led campaigns that have raised hundreds of millions of dollars to improve transportation choices in Seattle. He led the campaign to increase bus service in King County in 2006, helped direct Sound Transit’s second phase of light rail campaign in 2008, and served as the co-chair of the campaign to expand bus service in Seattle in 2014. District 4 is seeing the benefit of these efforts: of the five light rail stations planned for construction in Seattle, three are in District 4.

With such a clear champion for safer streets, Cascade is ready to get Rob elected. To make it happen, Rob will need your help, either with your financial and volunteer assistance.
