Getting involved in local advocacy as a parent can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be difficult! Join us for this fun, family-friendly event to learn how to use your personal experiences and stories to help create the city you want to see.
Come meet family biking advocates with kids of all ages, learn about Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, our local advocacy for people walking and biking, and simple, easy ways for you and your family to be effective advocates in your neighborhood!
Sunday, December 8, 10:00 am – noon
Cal Anderson Park Shelterhouse (Capitol Hill)
We will have snacks and drinks. Kiddos are welcome to participate or take advantage of our play area, depending on age and attention span. There is an outdoor playground nearby as well.
Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is powered by people like you who work to make our streets safer and more comfortable for people of every age, language, ethnicity, gender, race, ability, and income. We want all neighborhoods great places to walk, bike and live — and we need YOU to help make this happen.
The Shelterhouse is located in Cal Anderson Park, at E Olive St, immediately to the north of the playfields. The park is accessible via Broadway protected bike lanes, Capitol Hill Light Rail Station, or multiple bus lines. The facility is wheelchair accessible, has all-gender bathrooms, and is dog-friendly.
