First Saturday Clean Up
May 2nd

We have decided to continue to hold our Clean Ups in this challenging time. In situations like these, we need to come together as a community and support each other even more. We believe that our clean ups are the best way for us to continue to be active in our community at this time. It is easy to practice social distancing while cleaning and is a great way to get outside. If you have a safe way to get to the station area, please come join us!

WHEN:   9am – 12pm on Saturday, May 2nd
WHERE:   Corner of S Forest St. and Rainier Ave S

Please email us if this will be your first clean up. We will have all the materials you need to participate set out for you to pick up, including gloves, pickers, and bags. Wear weather appropriate clothes, especially good shoes. See you, rain or shine, next to the water ox mural at Hoa Mai Preschool!

Every month volunteers gather to collect garbage and help beautify our neighborhood. On average, we collect about 15 bags of garbage per clean up, which means 1,000’s of small pieces of plastic that do not find their way into Puget Sound.

Seattle friends and neighbors!! Please join us for our ongoing ‘First Saturday’ of the month clean-up effort,

Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, 9:00am-12:00pm
We meet on the NW corner of the Art Space building, just off Rainier Ave. S. & S. Forest St., by the Mt. Baker Light Rail Station.

Look for the Mt. Baker Hub Alliance sign, a table with sign-up list, gloves, pickers, orange vests and bright yellow bags to collect garbage, maybe a colorful umbrella, weather dependent, all next to the water ox mural at Hoa Mai Preschool.

Come spend time in the Hub, admire the murals, old and new, and help beautify our wonderful neighborhood on Saturday morning.

See you there!!
