The sun is out in Seattle so it’s time to bring back the Find It, Fix It ride! We will be riding on June 10th, and the 10 mile route will take us through many of our ongoing projects such as the missing link, the brewery district, 6th ave greenway, and the 15th ave crossing, and will be along multiple popular bike routes including the Burke Gilman Trail, the Wallingford Stay Healthy street, and a section of the Green Lake Trail.

Along the ride, we will be stopping to report any issues we see on the Seattle Find It, Fix It app. These might be potholes, overgrown vegetation, downed flexposts, etc. Please download the app in advance so you have it ready for the ride. Expect a very casual pace that will be comfortable for all riders, and keep in mind that this is a no-drop ride. There will be some hill climbing in this route, but it should be manageable at this pace.

People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. Attendees of this ride are responsible for bringing their own bike or mobility device in safe, working order, as well as the proper safety equipment for riding. E-bikes and bike-share bikes are welcome, but please allow sufficient time to locate and unlock a bike prior to the start of the ride. If you need to rent an adaptive bike, check out the Outdoors For All foundation who offers adaptive cycle rentals free of charge, seven days a week (thanks SDOT 😀). Safety and staying together is our priority but riders participate at their own risk.

We will meet at the Ballard Locks Parking lot on June 10th, and depart at 9am. Please be there on time, or be ready to find the group somewhere along the way if you plan to join late. I hope to see all of you there. If you are not currently involved in Greenways, this is a really great way to get out and meet some of our members and see the kind of work that we’re doing and to get involved yourself!
