Who: The Bikery, Bikery friends and neighbors, cyclists and cycling advocates, and community members and advocates
What: Bikery Housewarming Party
When: Friday, June 14th, 7:00pm-11:00pm
Where: Artspace Hiawatha Lofts, 843 Hiawatha Pl S, Seattle
Why: The Bikery moved to a new home in the Artspace Hiawatha Lofts last March, and we’re celebrating this excellent change with a community Housewarming Party. Everyone is invited to join us for snacks, drinks, a raffle and Sponsor-A-Tool table, live music, faces old and new, updates on what’s new around the Bikery, and lots of good times.
What the heck is a Sponsor-a-Tool table, you ask? For a donation to the Bikery, you’ll get your very own name engraved on one of the tools in our shop, forever showing the mark of your legacy as a friend of the Bikery. Find out at the party what tools are up for autograph-by-proxy. And yes, all the tools belong to and stay in the Bikery to help us help folks fix their bikes.
Everyone at the Bikery is excited about how this change will help us grow our organization – we’re the newest tenant in the trailblazing Artspace Hiawatha Lofts building, right off major thoroughfares Rainier Avenue South and the I-90 Bike Trail, and nestled in a thriving neighborhood. Aside from being a celebration of this fantastic upgrade in our facilities and location, the party represents an important opportunity for the Bikery to grow and strengthen our support base, which is essential to the long-term viability of our community-powered cycling resource.
