formerly Beacon B.I.K.E.S.
Please note that our meeting this month will be a week early because of scheduling conflict. So, instead of meeting on the fourth Thursday of the month as usual, we’ll be meeting THIS THURSDAY, August 18, at our usual time (6 – 7:45p) and our usual meeting place (the Beacon Hill Library).
We will have updates on the Town Center project and also debrief from our scouting events last month regarding SDOT’s proposed new greenway from Beacon Hill down to Mount Baker via Cheasty Boulevard.
I’d also like to propose a vote to elect Robert Getch as a co-Chair. Robert has been with the group several months now and jumped straight into a leadership role, volunteering to take over all of our social media at his very first meeting. He’s been doing a fantastic job with that and also planned and led the hugely successful BHSS table at the Block Party at the Station. He’s super energetic and chomping at the bit for more responsibility, and I think he would be a fantastic resource for the group. My own time is pretty limited and likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future, so having a co-Chair would be really helpful to keep our projects moving along.
If you can make it this Thursday, please come out to hear updates on the projects and vote on Robert’s proposed election.
