There is only one thing as awesome as riding a bike on a Sunday afternoon: Eating ice cream.
Bicycle Sundae is an alleycat-style scavenger hunt bike tour of Seattle ice cream shops.
Bike, eat ice cream, bike more, eat more ice cream…
When: June 1. Meet at noon, leave a 12:30.
Start: Full Tilt Ice Cream in Ballard
End: Seward Park (for Bicycle Sunday!)
Cost: $15 ($10 if you already have a Bicycle Benefits sticker) Kids under 6 ride free.
Organized by Seattle Bike Blog and Bicycle Benefits, Bicycle Sundae is made possible by sponsorships from Full Tilt Ice Cream and Verity Credit Union.
You can pre-register for the ride on the event page or register in-person at the start. You can ride in groups or solo. We’ll have prizes and ice cream at the finish. Costumes are encouraged.
As a scavenger hunt, you will be given a list of Seattle ice cream shops to visit and some other challenges to complete. Your goal is to visit as many stops and complete as many challenges as you can during the time given. There is no set route or closed course. It will be up to you how you bike from place-to-place.
Note that the ride does not end where it starts. The ride should end around 4 p.m.
