Do you like to meet new small business owners? Are you interested in bicycle related goods & services? Then don’t miss the four annual Pedaler’s Fair!

A Made-in-Washington bicycle-centric consumer show returns to Seattle this May, at the Russian Community Center on North Capitol Hill. Pedaler’s Fair is a marketplace for Washington based, bicycle-inspired small businesses to exhibit their goods and services, engage with the public and network with other bicycle entrepreneurs. This year the fair will host over 20 different vendors, as well as a full day of programming including bike camping and fly flishing slideshow with Russ and Laura of Path Less Pedaled and a presentation by Bill Thorness on his new edition of Biking Puget Sound. This event is open to all ages.

The purpose of Pedaler’s Fair is twofold: to provide a curated space for small, local, bicycle-based businesses;; and to promote bicycling as a healthy, environmentally responsible mode of transit, adventure and recreation. The event will again showcase a wide variety of products including handbuilt bicycle frames, touring bags for well traveled adventurers, smart clothing for city riders and artwork inspired by a passion for the bicycle.

Do they provide a secure or enclosed bike parking facility at the fair?

Hmm, if I remember there was a temporary bike corral in previous years (at least once, it was valet bike parking by Bike Works), but it’s always a good idea to bring a lock. I’ll ask and post an update if I learn otherwise.

      Thanks, Tom!
