    “Ravenna store”

It’s not actually a store; just a parking lot with trucks an covered area for donations. In case anyone’s wandering around looking for an actual store.

Just in case you feel like paying money for something that’s only worth giving away..

I personally ventured down to the UW Police sale. Won’t be back, nothing at all worth buying.

I saw a lot of good deals last year. Problem was, people were walking out with them when I was walking in.

Could be, I got there early only to find a very very long line.

I agree about the UW sale. The year I went, there was a lot of cherry picking of bikes for employees and family members. The bikes set aside as “not for sale” outnumbered the bikes in the building. It was kind of insulting.

If they are going to set aside bikes for friends and family members, they should do it the night before. Not while everyone is standing in line waiting to get in.

One has to be in line very early to get a decent bike.

What time is “very early?” It starts at 9. Do they form a line outside? When the doors open does everyone rush in, or do they let in x number at a time? Your comment implies that UW people have a priority. How does that work?

Goodwill sale at main store was really poor. Overpriced stuff. I was not impressed. If you want a deal on a WalMart bike, better to wait for a sale at WalMart and get it new rather than hammered. The few good bikes that were there went for too much money. Better to wait for a sale at Performance Bike and get it new with a guarantee.

I went to the Goodwill sale at the main store for 1st time, just to check it out. If there were any decent road bikes, they were out the door by the time we arrived – 20 minutes after the doors opened. What remained were a lot of kids bikes and mix of other types of cycles. Most seemed very overpriced. An unexpected surprise though was the selection of cycling clothing. My wife & I went away with some great finds. She desperately wanted to fit into a Castelli all-weather jacket that looked brand new, but it was just a bit too small.
