DubSea Bikes holding monthly bike tune-up event Sat. in White Center

DubSea Bikes is a relatively new group that is looking to encourage more bicycle riding in White Center and southern West Seattle. One of the major challenges people encounter in White Center is the lack of a bike shop and the simple ability to fix a broken bike to get it back on the roads.

So they are holding monthly FREE bicycle tune-up events at Full Tilt Ice Cream (9629 16th Ave SW) Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

Is your bike out of commission?  Bring it to DubSea Bikes at Full Tilt Ice Cream, 9629 16th Ave SW, downtown White Center, on Sunday, November 13th, from 2 – 4 pm. This free event will focus on minor repairs to get more bikes on the street in White Center and beyond.

We will have more on DubSea Bikes soon, so stay tuned…

Hey Tom, Thanks for the press! With the help of Stu from Alki Bike & Board and Leland from Bike Works, our second SUNDAY of the month (not Saturday) DubSea Bikes repair clinic was a blast, with residents enjoying “Two-wheel Sundae Specials” from Justin and Ben at Full Tilt while their bikes got road-ready. Look for our next event Sunday, December 11th!

  2. […] DubSea Bikes has been organizing monthly bike tune-up events with the dream that the area will get some kind of bike shop or co-op soon. Today, there are few nearby options for getting a broken ride rolling again. Bike Works has also been rumored to be considering White Center as a future location for their adult basic bike repair class. […]
