Players gather at Cal Anderson Monday

The 2011 World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships starts Wednesday at Magnuson Park. Seattle is hosting this year’s tournament, and the best in the world will try to upset our hometown stars.

Organizers are building the polo courts today, and you can catch some pre-tournament pick-up polo at Cal Anderson starting at 3 p.m.

Tournament play gets under way Wednesday with the start the two-day Wildcard tournament. The Championships will be Friday through Sunday.
