Columbia City Theater is hosting a show to benefit Bike Works Friday evening. Acts include Elk & Boar, Daniel G Harmann & The Trouble Starts, Drew Victor and Kimo Muraki. Doors at 9 p.m., $6.
Sometimes I wonder why every event in this city doesn’t benefit Bike Works. Also, why are any of us doing anything besides volunteering for them? When you think about it that way, all our lives just make no sense. Before we do anything, we should ask ourselves, “Is what I am about to do more important than empowering young people with bicycles and bicycle knowledge?” I bet the answer is no…
I can’t wait for the day when every neighborhood in the city can support it’s own non-profit, education-driven bicycle center. Get on that, Seattle.

We’re very excited about this show. It should be noted, however, that we’re the only band on the bill that is donating door/merch money to Bike Works. Still, I’m confident that it’ll be great!
