Today’s Lunch Special: Steam-Broiled State Transportation 20-Year Plan

Grab a sandwich and take a noon lunch today so you can hit up the Washington Transportation Plan 2030 forum today downtown. The Transportation Choices Coalition has a brief on the forum:

Washington invests less than 1% of its transportation resources on public transportation, less than just about any other urbanized state. Adding highway capacity has been the state’s focus over the last several decades while bicycle and pedestrian needs continue to be an afterthought on most state projects, undercutting our state’s climate and land use goals.

So where do you think Washington should invest its transportation dollars over the next twenty years? Want some more highways? How about wider highways? No? Then show up and tell them what you think is best.
