45th Street viaduct construction got you down? It’s easier to get around it by bike!

And there’s a bike ride at 7:30 tomorrow morning to get you started if you are timid.

Cascade Bicycle Club and SDOT are holding two free morning bike brigade rides and one free workshop to help people take up riding their bikes to avoid the under-construction 45th Street viaduct. If you are in the area and are interested in getting on your bike, but might be scared about riding with traffic, the workshop and bike brigade rides are a great way to get you going.

Bike brigade: Friday, July 9 at 7:30 am
Starting at Counterbalance Bikes (U Village)

Bicycle workshop: Sunday, July 11 at 9:00 am
At University Village (Barnes and Noble)

Bike brigade: Friday, July 16 at 7:30 am
Starting at NE 45th Street and Stone Way
