Ride Description:
This steady ride starts with the gently rolling terrain on the west side of Lake Sammamish and then gradually climbs Newport Way for about 3 miles. We will ride the bike route along SE 36th Street to the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail. Our first rest stop will be at Enatai Beach Park. We then ride through Beaux Arts Village with it’s beautiful trees and well manicured lawns. We will ride through downtown Bellevue then through Medina before hopping onto the 520 Bike Trail to Lake Washington Blvd. We have a couple of small climbs before reaching the Burke Gillman Trail at the Wayne Golf Course. From there it’s just a short flat ride back to Redmond and Marymoor using local roads.

Riders should bring water, a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. There will be no food stops on this ride so bring your own food for the ride.

Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time for the required safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 10:00 a.m. Steady rain cancels the ride.

The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start in the Comments section below and on Meetup. If you have questions about the weather, please call (425) 208-9408 or (818) 590-8167, preferably before you leave for the ride.

NOTE: At the time of this ride this parking lot may require a paid parking receipt. We will add a comment here and on Meetup after we determine what will be required for parking in this lot at the time of our ride. Please be prepared to pay $1 fo parking.
