Ride Description:
COOS – Cycling out of Sumner
Please join us for our progressive rides out of Sumner. Starting in April and running through June, these rides will start with 30 miles
and minimal elevation becoming progressively longer with more elevation. The majority of the rides will be in the 50 – 80 miles range with a century ride coming in June. We will leave from the Sumner Fred Meyer, east end of parking lot next to garden center. Rest rooms at start.

Three paces – Steady, Moderate and Brisk offered.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver, prepare your bike and be part of the safety briefing.
S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are expected to do their best to adhere to them; Front and rear lights are highly recommended! If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leader(s) will not be at the start. Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace for their selected group, or ride independently. Please come with the skills and equipment to change a flat. The group does not stop for mechanicals and riders should print their own cue sheets.
RSVP is not required but is appreciated in order to plan for enough Ride Leader support.
Please come with full coverage fenders if the roads are wet. Without them, you may be asked to ride in the back of the group.

This week’s ride will take us from Sumner to the Chihuly bridge of glass in Tacoma with a coffee stop.
