Seattle Community Climate Forum
You’re Invited: A Just, Resilient Seattle
Join us for Seattle’s 3rd Community Climate Forum. Hosted by the Office of Sustainability and Environment and facilitated by Councilmember Mike O’Brien, this community conversation will center on how Seattle can equitably adapt to and prepare for a changing climate. Communities of color, recent immigrants, low-income communities, and other historically underrepresented groups face greatest risk from impacts of climate change and often have the fewest resources to respond to a changing climate. This forum will help residents and City staff consider strategies that will ameliorate adverse impacts, bolster vibrant, resilient neighborhoods, and make the vision of a just, resilient Seattle a reality.
Refreshments will be provided. Space is limited. RSVPs required to [email protected]
Monday, September 22, 2014 @ 5 — 7 pm
Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th floor, room 4050/4060
Community Climate Forums are in-depth, quarterly conversations between grassroots sustainability organizations, City staff and leadership, and other residents on Climate Action Plan implementation activities and community-led environmental initiatives.
