On Wednesday, August 28, we’re blitzing the 2nd Ave businesses of Paper Hammer, Belfry Oddities, and Shawn O’Donnell’s to show them that bikes mean business. We’ll purchase some stuff and give the cashier “I arrived by bike” business cards, PeopleForBikes’s “Protected Bike Lanes Mean Business” Report, a Bicycle Benefits application, and a bike rack application. At the end of our ride, you’ll learn how you can volunteer to be a 2nd Avenue Ambassador on the opening day of the protected bike lane. We’re also looking for people to serve as “Ambassadors” for the 2nd Avenue Protected Bike Lane when it opens up on early September. If you want to be an ambassador, email Brock at [email protected]. We’ll have more details and trainings after both the Bike Blitz and Tweed Ride. Plus, if you volunteer, you’ll get an awesome “Connect Seattle” t-shirt.
