Up to four p eople can form a team\, so invite your friends (facebook event page).\nThi s year’s event is a big shakeup from previous years\, and we’re very excit ed about it. Seattle Bike Blog is partnering with Cascade Bicycle Club’s P edaling Relief Project\, which has allowed us to expand the ride to suppor t more community food banks. There will be some fun surprises along the wa y.\nWe will start gathering 9 a.m. at Byrd Barr Place Food Bank (on 18th A venue near Cherry Street in the Central District). Ride starts at 10 and f inishes by 2 p.m. The afterparty at Central Cinema is open from 1–3:30. Br ing your bike\, a lock and a way to carry groceries. It is free to registe r\, but expect to spend at least $20 on groceries for donation.\nBike Work s and REI will cover $30 in grocery costs for up to 70 participants.\nCran ksgiving Seattle 2022 is a food drive bike ride benefiting Byrd Barr Place Food Bank\, Rainier Valley Food Bank and U District Food Bank. Like an al leycat race or scavenger hunt\, riders will get a list of donation items e ach food bank requested as well as a list of places to buy them. Your team of up to 4 people will get one point for each item and location in additi on to a handful of bonus objectives.\nOne big change this year is that som e teams will head north to the U District while others head south to Raini er Valley. After dropping off the first set of donations\, you’ll get a se cond list to collect on your way back to Byrd Barr Place. Expect to ride a minimum of 10 miles\, though you will need to ride significantly more tha n that if you want to get all the points. There will be prizes for teams w ith the most points\, but there will also be prizes any team can win. Non- competitive riders of all ages and abilities are very welcome\, too.
