2017 Seattle Bike Swap is Sunday, now hosted in Magnuson Park

Parking SwapAfter many years at Seattle Center, Cascade Bicycle Club is moving its annual Seattle Bike Swap to Magnuson Park near the club’s headquarters.

Vendors from all over the region bring stuff for all kinds of bikes, from locally-made to imports and from high end to vintage to bargain. It’s $7 to get in ($5 if you’re a Cascade member), or $25 if you want to get in an hour early at 8 a.m. for a chance to get first pickings.

Kids under 15 get in free. Swap ends at 2. More details from Cascade:

Low hanging fruit for Cascade would be to offer a discount for people who bike to the swap instead of drive. A stones throw from the Burke Gilman Multi-use Trail.
Easy to do and right in line with the goal of getting people out of cars and on to bikes.

do they have any bike parking

Ouch. No mention of bike parking. There are assorted bike racks at magnusson, but without added bicycle parking you will have to get creative. They only show you where the car parking lot is. Cascade doesn’t seem to be too interested in the idea of replacing car trips with bike trips as of late.

    2. Right by the door – Cascade is good at that (& it does say on the page, though they coulda emphasized that a bit, yeah!)
