FREE BIKE Day 1 Preview: Coffee at sunrise + FREE BIKE kickoff ride

The ten-day, people-powered bicycle festival FREE BIKE kicks off bright and early tomorrow, and I can’t wait.

We challenged you all to make your bike ride and event ideas reality July 1–10, and you came through. The calendar currently has 22 events ranging from a WSDOT bike ride through the Bertha digging site to the World Naked Bike Ride. There are literally events from sunrise to sunset.

It’s not too late to add your idea to calendar.

  1. Congrats Seattle bikey folks! We have been running Velopalooza here in Vancouver, BC for several years. And of course Portland has been doing their inspirational Pedalpalooza for a long time.

    More Bike Fun, more often!

Yeah! We mentioned in our post introducing FREE BIKE that both Velopalooza and Pedalpalooza were inspirations: http://www.seattlebikeblog.com/2016/04/11/announcing-free-bike-a-peoples-festival-pouring-into-the-streets-early-july/
