Bike to the Mariners Game

Discount baseball tickets if you bike to the game. And I don’t just mean the discount you always get by skipping the cost to park your car near the stadium (sometimes more than the ticket itself!).

If you order online by 5 p.m. Friday, you can get discount tickets to Saturday’s game against Kansas City.

Cascade has the details:

Join Cascade Bicycle Club and Puget Sound Starts Here, May 10th, 2014 for Bike to Game Day at Safeco field. As part of Bike Month celebrations, rally your family, friends, neighbors, or just yourself and head down to the stadium to watch the Mariners take on the Kansas City Royals. All individuals who ride to the game and present their helmet at the Puget Sound Starts Here booth, will receive a special gift from Cascade Bicycle Club.

Not only will you enjoy the game, you will get a free themed t-shirt, you can visit the PSSH booth for games and prizes, and each ticket holder will get to hold up “K cards” at periodic moments in the game.  When all of the individual K cards are held up together they will make an image of a giant Puget Sound creature such as an orca and a giant pacific octopus (these type of cards were used extensively in the opening ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics).

More Reasons to Ride:

All people who purchase tickets online here and enter the promo code ‘salmon’ will not only receive a Seattle Mariners and Puget Sound Starts Here T-shirt but addtionally, a portion of ticket proceeds will benefit local non-profits who help to protect Puget Sound.

*Redeem your giveaway at the game by bringing your ticket stub to the table on the concourse outside of Section 112 before the 4th inning.

Pricing

  • $20 View Level (normally $25)

  • $34 Main Level (normally $40)

DEADLINE TO PURCHASE: Friday, May 9th at 5:00 p.m.

Please note: This special offer is online only and is not available at Team Stores or box office outlets.

Meet at Flo Ware Park in Leschi for a 5.4-mile easy-paced ride to Seward Park where we’ll share a complimentary picnic lunch, courtesy of Seattle Neighborhood Greenways!

May 11th is also Bicycle Sunday so we’ll enjoy car-free riding along Lake Washington Boulevard.

About CycloFemme:
CycloFemme is a Global Women’s Cycling Day created TO HONOR THE PAST and the emancipation of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, for the freedom to choose and the chance to wear pants. TO CELEBRATE THE PRESENT and the riders who keep it rolling, bringing women’s racing to the forefront, pushing the limits, breaking down barriers and sharing the love of the bike with everyone along the way. TO EMPOWER THE FUTURE of women in cycling and the opportunity for positive social change. Encourage women to ride and they will change the world.

Bagels and Bicycles was a great success! Met Mayor Murray, we need to get him out riding. While he’s a friend of bicycles I don’t think he’s had much experience riding, especially in any kind of traffic. Tour-de-Greenways would be an eye opener for him.

Tour de Pints, the yearly bike event as a part of Seattle Beer Week, is Saturday:
